HOOPESTON (CNS) — Herbert "Curly" Allison, 56, of 501 N. Market, died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday (March 9, 1975) at his home. He had been ill for some time. Born Dec. 11, 1918 in Hoopeston, he was the son of Charles and Cora Daisy Allison. He married Betty Lou Foley Jan. 9, 1960, in Danville. She survives. Other survivors include his mother of Hoopeston; two brothers, Julian and Henry "Jack," both of Hoopeston; and a sister, Mrs. Irma Johnson of Lafayette, Ind. He was preceded in death by his father, three brothers and a sister. A World War II veteran with the Army and a member of the Rossville Spears-Dukes American Legion Post, Mr. Allison was employed by the American Can Co. at Hoopeston for 25 years. He was a member of the Rossville Church of Christ. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hamilton-Orr Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Youkey officiating. Burial will be in the East Lynn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Legion rites at the services will be by the Rossville American Legion Post.--waw
